A completely FREE "See-Touch-Do" experience
for KIDS of ALL ages to ENJOY!
Seven “See-touch-do” Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expos have been held in Dodge County since 2006, attracting over 29,000 students, teachers and volunteers. Students actively participate in the Expo’s many featured activities, including archery, wildlife and conservation heritage enrichment, team building, firearm safety, fishing, sporting dog demonstrations, and trail recreation.
From the beginning, the Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo staff, sponsors, and volunteers have worked together to ensure this remains a free, fun, educational experience. Outdoor activities offer low-cost, healthy alternatives to indoor hobbies; and the Expo is a free gateway into inspiring children to become active outdoor enthusiasts.
In addition to inspiring outdoor recreation, Expo staff collaborated with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and various other organizations to develop the camp activities and link them to academic standards for subjects such as math, science, history, and physical education.
From academic to conservation education, the Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo offers diverse activities for students, teachers, and chaperones. We have and will continue to welcome home school classes, public schools, private schools, and even individual families to this fun-filled, family-friendly event.
Please become a sponsor of the Expo by filling out and mailing the attached form or clicking on the paypal donation button below. You can reach us by calling Expo Coordinator Jon Schoepke at 608-833-2040 or emailing Jon at jonschoepke@tds.net

Wisconsin Loses Jim Schoenike, Champion of the Outdoor Expo
Over the past nine years, we have had the privilege of working with Jim Schoenike on the Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo. The first time we met Jim, we came prepared with all sorts of reasons to sell him on the idea of holding the Expo at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. After about 30 seconds of our presentation, Jim said, "Great, when do you want to do it"- typical Jim. Since then, seven not-for-profit Expos have been held each May at the Fairgrounds, providing over 30,000 fourth and fifth grade students the opportunity to learn about conservation, hunting, fishing and the environment. We can say in no uncertain terms that without Jim's support and guidance, the Expo would not exist as the model program it has become. In fact, it may not exist at all. Jim was a good and compassionate man of action. He will be missed.
